I hook rugs, I knit and I have a life - not always in that order. Hooking rugs in the traditional way is a passion. Knitting is a way of keeping those idle hands busy. In my life, I am a mother, partner, sister, aunt, friend and a happy grammy. I work with volunteers and seniors when I'm not doing those other things. I enjoy being creative - and often reinvent the wheel. Above all, I value things that are not only beautiful but useful.

Ruby Tuesday
Here are my offerings for today's Ruby Tuesday hosted by Mary/the Teach.
First, some winter 'flowers'. I love the way frost makes such beautiful patterns on glass. The red behind the frost is actually part of an antique stained glass window which hangs inside the garage.
And I have a spring flower, too. It's a tulip which is almost ready to drop its petals. This was taken in Nelson, BC. I really loved the pale blue inside. Most tulips are purple or black.
Beautiful contributions. The frost looks like etching on the glass.
ReplyDeleteThat's true! I don't think I've every seen a tulip with a blue middle!
ReplyDeleteThe frost photo is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. tulip is nice love the blue middle.
ReplyDeleteLovely winter flowers, but I'm glad I won't be seeing them for real for a few months. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThese are both so beautiful. I love the frost on the glass, what detail you were able to capture! And looking inside that tulip - is marvelous! Good job!
ReplyDeletei love that you can see the snowflake crystals on the first picture
