I hook rugs, I knit and I have a life - not always in that order. Hooking rugs in the traditional way is a passion. Knitting is a way of keeping those idle hands busy. In my life, I am a mother, partner, sister, aunt, friend and a happy grammy. I work with volunteers and seniors when I'm not doing those other things. I enjoy being creative - and often reinvent the wheel. Above all, I value things that are not only beautiful but useful.

Mellow Yellow Monday
I've dug way into the archives for this photo. It's one of the restored houses at Upper Canada Village in Ontario that we saw on a trip we took a couple of years ago. I loved the bright paint on the house. Even better, I think, were the yellow irises blooming in the garden.
Drowsy Monkey lets us share the fun of Mellow yellow right here. Drop by, sign in and go visiting.
A wonderful cheery yellow!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fine yellow house... very neat. Kindly check My MYM Entry.
ReplyDeleteYellow clapboard house,
ReplyDeleteyour walls and halls hold stories—
I am listening.
My Mellow Yellow
I really like this - very bright and cheery! And looks like it was a perfect day, too.
ReplyDeleteJust driving by that house would make you feel better and put a smile on your face I bet. Great post.

What a cheerful looking house!
ReplyDeleteI have wanted a yellow house for 23years. I remember the years exactly because that is when we bought our first house. When it came to color selection time, DH was as opposed to yellow as I was for it. Guess who won that discussion? LOL But no matter, there are plenty of yellow houses out there to admire and I'm happy with other color options. He, on the other hand, would have loathed it and been very unhappy.
ReplyDeleteThat is a cheerful color for a house-you reminded me of a yellow house in my neighborhood which I will have to pay more attention to!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit!
Wonderful photo for Mellow Yellow Monday. Thanks for dropping by Small Reflections earlier and have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
were you ever in Windsor, Ontario? I went to University in 1975. So long ago.
ReplyDeleteI used to knit a lot for the family. Just started again. Keeps useful with our fingers, don't we? I have not hooked a rug, though in my teenaged days, I crocheted bags.
