It's a good day for working outside so we thought we'd get the decorations up for our Torch party on Wednesday.
Take one white garage door and two red plastic tablecloths...
Add a template. Better practice with a little one first....
One more tablecloth and a pair of scissors...nice that our flag is an easy graphic.
Et, voila!
And now that the garden chairs have been hosed down...we're ready!
Cool idea! You Canadians are so creative, eh?
ReplyDeleteWhoo Hoo! Looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous, festive, and patriotic! =D
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll be posting more about this torch party..I'm intrigued.
I was impressed when I drove by today and saw the door. Wondered where you got the big flag. Man, you made it yourself, good work. I thought that you might post it on Ruby Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteLooks great!! Do make sure your batteries don't run out with all the photos we expect to see.
ReplyDeleteJust been reading (in a 'hold it in your hand' magazine, Nov '08)about 'Rodney's Oyster Bar', 'FigMint Restaurant' & the 'Mink Chocolate Cafe'.
Love the look of victory with the flag! Creating a maple leaf that doesn't look completly goofy is a HUGE challenge! Especially that size ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT idea! I wish I were that creative. It looks awesome! I can't wait to see pictures of the party! A once in a lifetime event. Will it be a big bash with lots of food and people? Will the torch be carried right in front of your yard?
ReplyDeleteI love that flag, it's fabulous :)
