I hook rugs, I knit and I have a life - not always in that order. Hooking rugs in the traditional way is a passion. Knitting is a way of keeping those idle hands busy. In my life, I am a mother, partner, sister, aunt, friend and a happy grammy. I work with volunteers and seniors when I'm not doing those other things. I enjoy being creative - and often reinvent the wheel. Above all, I value things that are not only beautiful but useful.

Sunday wonders - E
E is for Edge.
Some edges we want to stand back from and peer over while staying safely on solid ground.
Or we can stand on an edge which is more friendly.
No matter what kind of edge, we humans are drawn to them. I wonder why?
Wow. Is the first picture in Ireland? A very thought provoking post. I like the dangerous and not too dangerous edges. Reminds me of the Aerosmith song "Livin' On The Edge"
I think I recognise that first edge! It sends my blood pressure up! The second one reminds me of when my kids were small, and there was always a tiny bit of danger involved when bringing them near ponds- we had a couple of times when they fell in, but no harm done! The safe but slightly dangerous edges are fun, aren't they? Great post, Stephanie!

Great post, Stephanie!
somehow, I thought you were going to write about knitted edgings.
ReplyDeleteI think it's something we do for the change of scenery.
ReplyDeleteEdges--yes. They draw us and repel us. I like to think of living close to the edge but not too close! Your ABCs are compelling Stephanie.
