Ruby Tuesday

I'm not sure what this is but it was painted such a nice red.

We actually found several dotted around the historic shipyard site.  This one is in a flower garden.  Could they be emergency water sources for fire-fighting?

It's Ruby Tuesday and there are lots of people showing off their reds.  It's not all mystery, though, and Mary t leads the way right here.

  1. That is interesting isn't it. It looks like it could be a fire hydrant, but I've never seen them so long and tall. It definitely will get noticed with that bright red color! Thanks for visiting mine.

  2. It must be too early for me, my first thought was a dress on a hanger, with wonderful shoulders. Maybe I need more sleep, any rate, I like the shape the colour and I had a good laugh. It is a good looking hydrant.

  7. The water supplies are different colors for the firefighters - to tell them how much water and pressure there is (told by my son-in-law who is a firefighter). Red has the most of both!
