I hook rugs, I knit and I have a life - not always in that order. Hooking rugs in the traditional way is a passion. Knitting is a way of keeping those idle hands busy. In my life, I am a mother, partner, sister, aunt, friend and a happy grammy. I work with volunteers and seniors when I'm not doing those other things. I enjoy being creative - and often reinvent the wheel. Above all, I value things that are not only beautiful but useful.

Oh, wow!
Have you seen these?
I will definitely be buying the Fall issue of Interweave Knits - just for these Alpen Socken. The challenge will be worth the purchase. Yes!!
The socks are probably still too hard for me, since I only knitted my first ones, but I'm eyeing the peavey jacket and the cloisonne -beautiful. Just the thought of it, makes me buy these mag., even if I don't knit anything out of it (sigh).
Oh wow is RIGHT!!! I would LOVE a pair of those!!! They are among the coolest socks I've ever seen!!
ReplyDeleteThey're beautiful! I bought the issue, but haven't gone through it all. Yet. Tonight. Just as soon as I make dinner, I'll sit down with this issue.
ReplyDeleteI've been meaning to tell you, I love the rug in your header. The colors speak to me.
ReplyDeleteFabulous socks! Intricate, but I´m sure they´ll be well worth it.
ReplyDeleteReally like those! Will you make them in the same gorgeous red?
ReplyDeleteI have that issue too, but I haven't sat down with it yet; I need to go find it now, cause those socks are gorgeous! I like the shoes too.
ReplyDeleteGreat socks! Good luck making them!
