I hook rugs, I knit and I have a life - not always in that order. Hooking rugs in the traditional way is a passion. Knitting is a way of keeping those idle hands busy. In my life, I am a mother, partner, sister, aunt, friend and a happy grammy. I work with volunteers and seniors when I'm not doing those other things. I enjoy being creative - and often reinvent the wheel. Above all, I value things that are not only beautiful but useful.

Ruby Tuesday
If you get up early on a summer morning, you can always go fishing.
Remember to take out the little red pontoon boat if it's Ruby Tuesday.

The day is sunny and cool on the water's surface. The solitude in fishing is to savor, although the fish are sure to bite as the paddle boat is red - what fish is not attracted to that!
Lovely, shimmering reflections and a great way to spend a morning.
We've had a few drops of rain today (really not a whole lot yet). Unfortunately, the wind has picked up too, which is not good. The smoke we are getting is from the Binta Lk. fire near Francois Lk. Hopefully if we get a decent rain, things will settle down.
I love the way red shows up on the water. I wonder if fish see colour and, if they do, if red scares them away. I know some fish can see quite a a few feet out of the water. :)
Just found this, on my way to the picture of the socks, and had to say, that first picture is stunning- it could be a watercolour. Great RT post, Stephanie!
wow, interesting place to experience.
ReplyDeleteIf you caught something red, that would be icing on the cake. Pretty pictures, Stephanie! I love the little ripples and the reflections.
ReplyDeleteLove this...y'know?---it'd make a great jigsaw puzzle!

I really love that little pontoon boat! It looks like I could have my kind of adventures on it -- slow and dreamy!
ReplyDeleteI remember my mother used to tell us "early bird catches worm" ^_^ Happy Tuesday!
