Today is the first Monday of the fall. What could be more mellow and fall-ish than a cupboard full of fruit jams, jellies and pickles?
The very white ones are pear-ginger jam. Pears don't have much color, do they?

What a lovely sight! Did you put all these up? Quite a bit of work involved, but what a feast you'll have in cold weather.
ReplyDeleteA most impressive cupboard and nicely organized by colour too. Perfect for the season. The pear ginger jam sounds delicious.
ReplyDeleteI think I need to be more organized with my preserves. Last week when looking for jars for blackberry jam I found a whole box of chutney and plum jam that I had forgotten about. But that's not a bad thing, is it?
Wow I love that!
ReplyDeleteWall of fruits
Love your cupboard, Stephanie, and how the jars match and are so neat (I've an inner neatness freak, who is not allowed out much by my family!!).Have to ask, do you buy the jars especially, or just gather them up during the year?
ReplyDeletePear and ginger jam sound great, I'm wondering what the green jars, bottom right contain?
I've made the chutney, and posted both recipes.
I was thinking "what a lovely sight" and then realized Ginny, your first commenter, said it already. But that's what I was thinking, so I can only agree with her.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
You're right, pears don't have much color. Pear pie, for instance, might have to be done with a chocolate-cookie crust to give it some oomph. LOL

pear ginger jam now that sounds yummy, and it does look very white. Nice preserves. I'm about to make some anti-pesto soon.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so yummy. I bet the pear-ginger concoction is delectable.
ReplyDeleteohhh! did you make them all? Yum! they look tasty...and they make for a great picture, too!
