I hook rugs, I knit and I have a life - not always in that order. Hooking rugs in the traditional way is a passion. Knitting is a way of keeping those idle hands busy. In my life, I am a mother, partner, sister, aunt, friend and a happy grammy. I work with volunteers and seniors when I'm not doing those other things. I enjoy being creative - and often reinvent the wheel. Above all, I value things that are not only beautiful but useful.

Mellow Yellow Monday
Mellow yellow Monday..making the rest of the week a little brighter.
"I've heard that there will be rain...gotta be ready," says Rubber Duckie.
For more touches of yellow, visit Drowsey Monkey right here.
When I saw this picture, I immediately thought of the Sesame Street song, "Rubber Duckie, you're the one - You make bath time lots of fun - Rubber Duckie, I'm awfully fond of you."
Update on my bird ID in case you see one yourself (can be seen throughout B.C.) - thanks to a more experienced birder, my bird now has a name: Yellow-rumped Warbler, immature, fall plumage.
Red-billed rubber duckie, immature, rail-sitting, sunshine plumage... to borrow the terminology of April's more experienced birder friend!! Thanks for the smile, Stephanie. Thanks for the birding terms, April.
Rubber ducky your the one you make nap time so much fun, ..da a dda love and da da dda. I can't remember this song, but your photo gave me a smile. You are ready for the rain, have a good week
