Sunday wonders - M

M is for Mastery.

Maybe after a lot more time doing this.  I'm making all the beginner mistakes right now.  I'm told there's no way to screw it up.   I have a lot of fun to come.  I'm very glad to have a Christmas visitor who spins.

  1. Oh, my! Excellent!!! What a fabulous gift. In no time, you'll be spinning skinny yarn and wondering how in the world you can make yarn like you're making now totally on purpose.

  2. Wow! A spinning machine! Will you be mixing your own colors? Was it a Christmas gift? You will do great, I'm thinking you could even spin straw into gold, but don't let Rumpelstiltskin know.

  3. well I'd say that is the perfect compiement to your skills.
And I'm confident you'll have mastered the art of spinning in no time - imagine, yarn spun, dyed and knitted by your own hands. Wow!

  4. oh my spinning your own wool, I don't think I could do it. However I can't knit either, so I guess it wouldn't do me much good learning to spin either.....LOL

  5. So I see the bobbin, which makes me happy because now I see their purpose. Is there a niddy noddy and a lazy kate on there? You can comment here and I will come back and take a look later. I just love those words, they make me laugh.

  6. Rudee - funny you should say that; Wendy said exactly the same thing. I'm encouraged.

Ginny - I got the wheel a couple of months ago and had to wait for Wendy to arrive and instruct me. No straw to gold plans yet.

Mimi, Gill - yarn for knitting is the plan. As long as I don't mind it a bit lumpy and uneven, I', almost there

Peg - The lazy kate is not visible but I'll post a photo later of the whole wheel. The niddy-noddy is a tool and not part of the wheel. I love those words, too.
