I need this

Some days, I just need reassurance that all is well in my world. That there is peace and order and innocence.

Reading to Grammy

What better than a black and white photo to take away stress of too much color?  Or a quiet moment reading with a child?

Thanks, Wendy, for such a beautiful and elegant photo.  She mostly photographs dogs but I think she does a pretty good job of capturing a human moment, too.

For more of her photos, look here on her photography website.

  4. What a wonderful picture, I love the way the light is coming in. And the way the light is coming out from both of you: the light of your love. I think this picture exemplifies what a grandparent can offer a child. The black and white was an excellent decision.

  5. It's beautiful, restful, peaceful.
In the black and white, the detail stands out more.
I love the angle of the little leg! And the look of concentration on the little face. And the way the light shines on your both.
    There's a lovely b+w wednesday meme at thelongroadtochina.blogspot

  7. Yup, there is just something so special about a black and white photo, it has to be shadow, I'd say.

Very soothing for sure. I must dig out a B and W I took long ago of eggs, watch for it.
