Full of promise. It is a huge thought that this baby year will only have 364 more days to realize that promise.
For me, it's like a wedding. So much hope for the future. So much happiness.
Or the perfection of a newborn baby. Who will she become?
On this first morning of 2011, the sky is blue and the sun pours rosy light on a leafless tree.
In a few weeks those branches will swell with fragile buds.
It's hard not to be moved by the tenderness of new life however it shows itself. And a new year is no different. What is our part in making our future grow beautiful, healthy and strong?
What a sweet and wonderful New Years day post, Stephanie!! I LOVE that tree with the rosy light on it, that is stunning in an understated way, it should be framed and hung somewhere. We got the Jenga Max and played it last night. Hilarity and great fun ensued, all thanks to YOU!!! I took many pictures and it will be hard to choose which to post for tomorrow. Thanks again!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely sentiments today, Stephanie!
ReplyDeleteI plan on knitting a bit, spinning some yarn and maybe squeezing in a nap. In short, I'm going to ease into 2011.
That last photo of the buds on the tree says it all. Nurture the beauty, be in the moment, share love.
ReplyDeleteNew beginnings are so encouraging, aren't they? Happy 2011!

Do you watch Ellen show? One day, Jim Carey was visiting, he said he was hanging out with some hookers. Then he had a photo, were you in that photo? LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.

ReplyDeleteMakes you stop and think, doesn't it?
Some of our future is in our hands, and we must grasp opportunities with fervour!
Not sure how I missed this post, but I have been busy, will post about it over the next couple of days.
