Today I present...drum roll, please....
Books! OK, no visible books but I'm sure this book return bin is full of well-read and happy books. Several bins are standing guard outside a public library, just waiting for a 'feed'.

I really need to get my mind out of the gutter today. :)
ReplyDeleteYou can't imagine what my first thought was when I saw "Adult" books on that sign.... ok, maybe you can, and we both might need to get our minds out of the gutter. ;)
Ruby Rainbow
Now that's a good book return!! So large and colorful, maybe people who go to this library won't forget to return their books!
ReplyDeleteI'm accustomed to the return feeding directly into the building. These are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHaving Mary's page on my computer screen and your link on top makes it look as if your 'books' are on her bookshelf. :)
What a great book drop. I hate it when they're just ugly drab gray.

ReplyDeleteSEEING RED
Tonight, my dear, I’m seeing red—
Or is it puce or rose?
Whatever’s going round my head
Is tingling all my toes.
My heart, my dear, becomes inflamed
With passion sore ablaze;
Perhaps it is because I miss
Your glowing, crimson gaze.
Whate’er the cause, my face is flushed
Like a ripened cherry,
No longer healthy, but inflamed—
See the vessels serry*?
A certain sanguine aftertaste
Is clinging to my tongue,
For I have kissed your ruby lips—
To which the claret clung.
*serry – (archaic) to crowd closely together

Lady in Red
What a great book drop! Wish it were my library -- I'm always looking for pictures to illustrate my (very) occasional bookish posts.
ReplyDeleteThat's an attractive container. It's good to know libraries are still being used, the Internet has taken over completely!
