I first learned it in Grade 4 and thought it was kind of a mean song putting down the person who wore a smaller, less flashy, red rose.
You can just see the wee spider that has come to share the glamour. I think I'll request this song at our singing group this morning. Feels right.

ReplyDeleteYour yellow tulips are lovely. We have tried growing tulips but the deer that come around have found them to be absolutely yummy! So we hsve crocus instead. I have heard that they don't have a big taste for daffodils either, so we will try daffodils next year. Have a great week.
