I hook rugs, I knit and I have a life - not always in that order. Hooking rugs in the traditional way is a passion. Knitting is a way of keeping those idle hands busy. In my life, I am a mother, partner, sister, aunt, friend and a happy grammy. I work with volunteers and seniors when I'm not doing those other things. I enjoy being creative - and often reinvent the wheel. Above all, I value things that are not only beautiful but useful.

Ruby Tuesday
Sometimes, the most wonderful treat is a cup of tea. Nothing fancy - a tea bag in a white china mug will do. This was one of the most welcome cuppa's I've ever had. Funny how a photo can take you back to the mood and feeling of a time. Last summer, I was tired and footsore from walking, walking, walking the streets of Dublin. Near St Stephen's Green, there was a cafe with two tables on the pavement...

It sounds like the perfect ending to a perfect day.
ReplyDeleteOh yes I love thinking back. A sound, Smell and Taste can do they. Come be and visit my Oasis, I'll have a cup of tea just for you.
ReplyDeleteMy Ruby Link just for for you
Amazing how a simple visual or even a scent can send you back to good memories. Nice one this week.
ReplyDeleteExcellent framing!
ReplyDeleteI love the Dorothy header! But that is the actual teabag that you snapped in Dublin? I wonder if you could order the same teabags? Of course even if you did, it would never taste as good as on that one day...
ReplyDeleteBarry's is a nice tea indeed. But, I am partial to Lyons myself.
ReplyDeleteRudee - that was just a much needed break in the afternoon. There was so much more to come.
ReplyDeleteGinny - That photo was taken at the cafe while I waited for the tea to steep. I don't think it would have mattered what brand the tea was at that point.
hip chick - I never really developed any favorite while in Ireland. This was the only time, though, that the tea was not served in a proper pot.
A lovely red picture and such a nice story to go with it. I love tea, I start each day with a cup of tea.
