A feathered ruby for today...
A downy woodpecker takes the easy road to snacks at a suet feeder. OK, it is the hard way to do it but he's too big to get inside the mesh like the smaller birds can.

Not only is he sporting just the right amount of red, he's industrious.
Hanging on like that, and with a little red hat that makes him a candidate for RT, he definitely deserves some food!
