Hide and seek

Last week I knit up the remnant from the Spruce Olivier pullover into this hat and this neck warmer.   It was quick and easy - I was still of sound mind and body then - and the little project was soon ready for a photo shoot.

Where the heck was Nefertiti?  She'd simply vanished and I wasn't feeling model-ish enough to just wear it myself.  We hunted in all the likely places but no luck.  This morning, I was poking about in a closet where I keep extra purses and voila!  There she was, languishing under a summer bag.

I quickly pulled her out, dusted her off and dressed her warmly.    The hat is just a simple style but the buttons give it a bit of dash.  And, I was happy to discover that I had 4 smaller matching buttons for the neck warmer.  Into the gift bag it goes.

I love the buttons you added there, but Nefertiti is cracking me up! What an appropriate name! How did you come by her?

Love the color of this yarn...you seem to be knitting up a storm! I can tell it's Dec.! I see more and more neckwarmers and cowls this year.

Lol at Nefertiti hiding out in the closet!!
The hat and neck warmer are beautiful! I especially love the way you use the buttons- you're so creative.
The yarn looks like one that's made in Donegal, a tweed called Kilcarra. Not sure if it's still on the go.
BTW, my niece is heading to Vancouver for 6 months on 10th, au pair job! I think she'll love it!

So glad you're feeling better! My husband has been having spasms in his back this week, although not on the same scale as yours. Love the hat and scarf. I dreamt about knitting last night; couldn't find any patterns and was trying to make hats!! Weird....

That's a great, rich green. Really looks perfect for a walk in the woods.
