At last!

Our eye was caught by the glow through the chimney smoke next door...

I grabbed the camera and stayed as the sun rose...

and blazed through the smoke.

It's been a while since we've seen the sun here.  It feels like it's rained every day in November.

Very lovely pictures! It almost looks like an english cottage setting from those angles.

Feels the same here! And we've some terrible floods in the midlands, lots of people out of their homes.
Beautiful, tranquil photos, Stephanie.

And it appears you were greatly rewarded for the effort. The sun is trying to peek through the clouds in Detroit. Seems we've had weather just like yours all month. Today the high is 3C. Brr.

A smoky sun rise is very pretty, enjoy the lovely sun while it is visiting.

Enough to warm the cockles of your heart.
(The cockles of the heart are its ventricles, named by some in Latin as "cochleae cordis", from "cochlea" (snail), alluding to their shape. The saying means to warm and gratify one's deepest feelings.)

So pretty; all the more beautiful when it's been awhile, isn't it?
