I hook rugs, I knit and I have a life - not always in that order. Hooking rugs in the traditional way is a passion. Knitting is a way of keeping those idle hands busy. In my life, I am a mother, partner, sister, aunt, friend and a happy grammy. I work with volunteers and seniors when I'm not doing those other things. I enjoy being creative - and often reinvent the wheel. Above all, I value things that are not only beautiful but useful.

That was easy!
I've found a new knitting love. These gloves were such fun to knit. They're pretty, quick to knit up and so warm.
And, best of all, I can knit a pair with the same amount of yarn it would take for just one sock. Lots of pluses.
I think Anne has a definite future as a hand model.
Wow, I'm very impressed, Stephanie! They're gorgeous. The cable does make them pretty snug at the wrist, as you said in an earlier post. Love the colour too! If I spent less time blogging, maybe I'd get back to knitting...but then I wouldn't get to see pictures of your knitting.

Oh my gosh! They're gorgeous. Weren't those fingers hard?
Anne does make a great hand model.
The main plus being that they look fabulous! Well done you!
Love the braiding on the wrist.
The glove are gorgeous. I really like the cable section. BTW, did you ever finish the FMcardi? Mine is still "resting".
Hey these gloves are beautiful. Very stylish modeling as well.
Thanks for your comments, everybody. I'm pretty happy with them, too.
Rudee - the fingers aren't hard - just like tiny socks. These gloves are pretty basic knitting.
Rose - the cardi is still in parts. Seaming is the dullest activity and a very good reason to knit in the round.
That was fast and they look great.
