Back to the pond

It seemed like a good idea at the time.  I really, really wanted this toy.  But, well, it seems it was too much for me to handle.  So, I've thrown it back for someone else to find.

It did some nifty things. I'll miss some of the ones that I discovered over the past week or so.   But the stress of adding this complication to my already busy life was more than I could deal with.  The fact that I downloaded zero apps should be a sign.

I'm happier with my pocket calendar and a pen to make my lists.  I have a netbook computer for travel.  I swear the iPhone weighs as much as the netbook.  It's freakin' heavy in your pocket!

Yes, I can understand. I don't even have time to read. We got a DS for the girls and I got some adult games for it, haven't had time to play them, either. I think these things can eat up your time rather than simplify them. but they are so much fun to use and play with if you are not too busy.

Well now I don't feel so left out of the tech loop. I began to wonder for a minute if I was crazy to have the simplest phone in the world if even my (wonderful) Mother in Law had a new iPhone. I'm off now to make a paper shopping list.

I thought something might be going to the frog pond, glad it is not knitting. Hubby has the iphone, some of it I like, but it is also frustrating for me. BTW, liked your mittens yesterday, especially the different cuffs, looks like another design feature to me.

Aw, that's a pity, Stephanie, you would have got the hang of it if you had more time with it.
I know what you mean re the stress of it. My old phone packed up in October, and I hated getting a new one. But I went for the iPhone, and I love it now. I haven't actually downloaded any apps, but my son (where would I be without the next generation!!) downloaded me a metronome and it's great! Also I got one of the pieces I'm practising onto the iPod bit.
Anyway, maybe you'll come back to it another time. There's a right time for everything.

Thanks for all your support. All is nt lost since we each bought one and only mine went back. We have a very cool North American bird ID app now.
