I hook rugs, I knit and I have a life - not always in that order. Hooking rugs in the traditional way is a passion. Knitting is a way of keeping those idle hands busy. In my life, I am a mother, partner, sister,aunt, friend and a happy grammy. I work with volunteers and seniors when I'm not doing those other things. I enjoy being creative - and often reinvent the wheel. Above all, I value things that are not only beautiful but useful.

Sunday wonders - Q
Q is for Quiet. Wherever - and however - you find it.
This Q word is a nurse's curse when working. One will be mobbed by coworkers for even mentioning the word aloud. It's OK to say Q or make the Q sign with the tongue sticking out to the side of an O shaped mouth, but the word itself better not be muttered!
I have acquired other words to speak of the silence when I'm at work, and I like it when I can hear a pin drop!
