Meet Me on Monday

Here's the five questions for this week:

1. What is your favorite way to eat potatoes?

Baked.  With the skin all crispy.  Butter, salt and pepper.  That's perfect.

2. What was the last package delivered to your house?

A long  - and heavy - box containing a portable canopy.

3.What is your favorite scent that you love to smell?

Living in a scented garden would be heaven.  But my favorite scent of all is lavender.  Especially when the scent ambushes you as you walk by.

4. Do you smoke?    No.

5.  Are your parents married or divorced?

They've both passed on now but were always married.  This is one of the few photos of them together.   One of them was usually behind the camera.  Don't you love the stylish outfits for a fishing trip?

Hop on over and visit Java at Never Growing Old.  You'll find lots of other Monday meeters and greeters.

What's the canopy for? We just found a local lavender farm, and they grow several different varities, you can pick whatever you want.

Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. I agree with what you wrote -- the best thing about these questions is the pictures of parents.
Although I listed cinnamon as my favorite scent, lavender is definitely in the top ten. I have a plant next to my front door and it greets me all summer with its lovely aroma.

Yum baked potatoes, you're making me hungry Stephanie!
I too love how Lavender releases its scent as you brush-walk past it.
And the photo of your parents is fantastic, they are very elegant indeed.
Happy MMOM! I'm skipping this week, but will do it again soon.

Your parents made quite a handsome couple! We have a couple of those portable canopies. We put them up for our oyster roasts!

Yes, baked! Have you ever eaten at a Texas Roadhouse? They have the best baked potatoes. They cover them in sea salt while they are baking, so the skin is just slightly salty (not too much) & the inside is flakey tender. Yum! Cute pic of your parents. Fishing in a skirt -- priceless!

I love that photo of your parents with that adorable dog.

I like my brother's twice baked potatoes. Makes my toiling in the kitchen on Christmas worthwhile.

Your parents just look so young! Were we ever that young?

I had an 8foot Christmas Tree delivered once. The post office told me to come pick it up and get it out of their way. We are a rural post office and I guess the tree was the size of the office.
I love the pic of your mom and dad together, reminds me of my mom and dad always a dog and we were always fishing, I think my mom was dressed the same way. Thanks for the memory

I love baked potatoes just the way you like them too, none of this sour cream, onions and whatever else they put on them, just plain like that.
