I hook rugs, I knit and I have a life - not always in that order. Hooking rugs in the traditional way is a passion. Knitting is a way of keeping those idle hands busy. In my life, I am a mother, partner, sister, aunt, friend and a happy grammy. I work with volunteers and seniors when I'm not doing those other things. I enjoy being creative - and often reinvent the wheel. Above all, I value things that are not only beautiful but useful.

Saturday scene
Hubbard Glacier in Alaska.
This shot from a couple of years ago was taken from our cruise ship...we eventually got within 1/4 mile. We could hear the huge cracking sounds of ice 'calving' but usually missed seeing the one we heard - it was so far away.
Just for scale, that ship shape you can see at center left is a pretty huge cruise ship.

Wow! Didn't even notice the cruise ship til you mentioned it - it looks tiny!
I didn't notice the ship, either. I enlarged the picture for a good view. That's an amazing photograph and the subject matter is very humbling.
Wow! That is amazing!
