Paint spots

Like grandparents everywhere, I have interesting artwork on my fridge door.

Every time I walk by,  I am struck by this one:

It was painted by my not-quite-two granddaughter so you know it wasn't intended to portray what I see:  a wonderful feathery yellow duckie with a pregnant blue woman swimming by.

I'm fascinated by what some accidental brushstrokes with bright paints can create.  Or is it all in my mind?

I saw the duckie right away! Can't quite get the pregnant woman, but it's a lovely painting, and probably would fetch thousands in the right gallery.
But then, it wouldn't be on your fridge door, would it!

Not in your mind! It's there plain as day. Before I read what you wrote, I saw the duckie. He even has an eye and a webbed foot. The pregnant woman I didn't see till after you said, but then she was very clear! A fun post!

Well, I saw the pregnant blue woman immediately. It's such a cheery image! I've got pictures of pink dogs on my fridge, courtesy of my niece. Fridges just wouldn't look right without some kind of kid's art.

I saw the duckie right away, too. Your granddaughter is mighty talented! I love her use of color.

I really do think that's quite striking. Get it into a gallery for her - she'll be so thrilled when she's old enough to know about it ;)

Wow, they must get their artistic ability from you! Love the painting and I definitely see the duck. How cool!

The pregnant woman is very good for her age! She must be interested/intrigued by it:)
I think all little kids are artists! It is when they are told how they "should" draw things that they lose their spontaneity in their art!

Oh yes, I see them too! What fun! You have a natural born artist in your family, Stephanie. So frame that up as fast as you can :)

I see the swimmer and the duck! It's not just in YOUR mind. :)

the yellow chick I can see and luckily it escaped the big sharp teeth of the giant blue whale. Children's creative art is very subjective to the imagination of the viewing audience of the refrigerator art gallery which is the center of attention in the kitchen's ofmany families and extended families of today's youthful budding artists. i think this work is great and i am always partial to the works of those who liberally use the colour choices of Vsn Gogh, lots of yellows and blues. LOVELY WORK. wELL DONE!

I saw both right away before I read your comments ... and methinks you may have a budding artist in this little one ... seriously! I love that you have it hanging on the fridge!
Hugs and blessings,
