I hook rugs, I knit and I have a life - not always in that order. Hooking rugs in the traditional way is a passion. Knitting is a way of keeping those idle hands busy. In my life, I am a mother, partner, sister,aunt, friend and a happy grammy. I work with volunteers and seniors when I'm not doing those other things. I enjoy being creative - and often reinvent the wheel. Above all, I value things that are not only beautiful but useful.

Mellow Yellow Monday
There's always some yellow pieces at the local playground for Mellow Yellow Monday.
This sliding apparatus slid well one way...not so well the other. Doesn't seem to change the fun level, though.

You are in one of my favorite parts of the world. I am often in the Vancouver - Victoria area, it seems just up the road from San Francisco....so beautiful there.
This is such a cheerful Monday morning photograph. I'm loving that my new neighborhood seems populated by playful kids, dogs and adults. Everyone is outside and it's so good to see.

My son is a great fan of the playground. In school, we have a sliding one like this. The little ones find it too hard to reach the handle.
