A - Z Challenge: Children

C is for Children.

I love watching children play.  They are just so focused on their own worlds.  Even when they pose for a photo, they can't quite get out of their pretend place.

Just snap it so I can get back to my patient.

I imagine all the stories that children have in their heads that are never told.   I wonder what happens  to all those imagined adventures.  Do they make their way into the grown-up world in another form?

You know, there is an old story of a child maybe about eight or ten, and when he talks to his baby sister, he says "Tell me what God is like, I'm forgetting". O.K. I know I have this not woed for word and it is only partially effective, but you get the idea. I sometimes wonder if very small children can see things we don't. What they can't see is worry or fear, they don't know enough yet for that.

I think some people never shed their wild imaginations and some go on to be children's authors :O)

Good question, what does happen to all those stories?
You know, I think we could all benefit from becoming children, in our heads, for an hour, or even ten minutes, each day.
They really live "in the moment" and that's such a good thing to do!
I remember the first picture from an old post, it's so cute!

The absorbed expressions in the top photo are just so sweet. I agree with Mimi that we would do well to drift and daydream like children for a time every day.

It is great watching children playing, especially if they are really engrossed in what they are doing and having fun.

They make it into your blog, expressed through your beautiful photos. Are these your children?

I like how the girl is playing doctor with the baby.

I adore the play of children, too. For them, it's their job. Too bad most grow out of that!

I see you have a budding doctor or nurse in the group!
