Today, as I was changing the toilet roll, I wondered how many times I had done this in my lifetime. I won't trouble you with the calculations.
But, the more important question is: over or under?
As you can see, I prefer over. I think the majority of people prefer it over. Hotels - posh or not so - seem to place the roll in this position.
Preferences can be strong...I always change the roll if it's the 'wrong' way. Do you? Am I the only one who cares this much?

I'm an over girl - and yes I change it if it is "wrong". But only at home or work, never at someone's house.
Tee hee. I'm an over too & always change it when it has been put on "wrong".
I'm an under! Put a new roll on the "wrong" way today. Feels odd, but so far I haven't changed it!
Now that's a very thought-provoking question. I don't know why, but I always, always have the tissue coming from under.
I'm in the over camp, and yes I do change it when it's on "wrong"! Interesting question!
Thanks for the info you left over at mine, Stephanie. Schools here are off today and tomorrow cos of the snow, so I'm 2 days closer to starting to knit...now, if I had a clear path through daughter's room to the attic storage area to get my yarn? She's promised to tidy tomorrow!
Definatly over!! Yes, I change it if it's wrong, but omly in my own house. I don't like the loose end laying up against the wall! Too bad that it matters this much.
I'm an under & got quite cross when a visitor changed it!
Thanks for all your comments. It's not very scientific but it sure shows our strong feelings.
Angie - I would have been cross, too. I only fix the roll at home!
I confess I'm an 'over' gal myself but I've given up trying to change it for anyone other than myself at home.
Hugs and blessings,
Definitely over - though years ago I thought just the opposite! Don't know what changed my reasoning. I would only change the roll in my own home and just be thankful the paper was there, be it over or under, if I was visiting elsewhere!
Fun post today!
Over for me, too. I can't imagine changing it at someone else's home!
