Idea #2: Ruby Tuesday. I'm a fan of puzzles, games and challenges of all sorts. Here's my entry. This is the daintiest tulip - very tiny. But, as you may have noticed I love the close-ups which show features not normally seen. Hence the weird focus.
I hook rugs, I knit and I have a life - not always in that order. Hooking rugs in the traditional way is a passion. Knitting is a way of keeping those idle hands busy. In my life, I am a mother, partner, sister, aunt, friend and a happy grammy. I work with volunteers and seniors when I'm not doing those other things. I enjoy being creative - and often reinvent the wheel. Above all, I value things that are not only beautiful but useful.

Great ideas
Idea #1: tubular cast-on and ribbing. This is way cool. It just finishes the cast-on edge beautifully. You can so teach old dogs new knitting tricks.

What are you making with that tubular cast on? I love the color-it looks like mustard. Anything yellow or green cheers me right up.
Look at all that pollen in your tulip.
It's the beginning of the Diminishing Rib cardigan in the last Interweave Knits. It's right on the cover so I didn't look too far for my inspiration. This is the yarn i dyed a couple of weeks ago.
What amazing colours in that tulip. Incredibly beautiful.
I have no idea where I put that issue of IK, but I'm going to find it. It came right before I moved so I know it's here somewhere.
